Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

By using Sober Meetup Club, you agree to these terms. Sober Meetup Club is built to bring people together — no relation to any other platform.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity on your account. One account per person, please.

Acceptable use

Don't use Sober Meetup Club to harass or endanger others, post illegal content, impersonate someone else, or scrape/automate access to the site without our permission. We may remove content or suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion — including via reports from other members.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the events, photos, and messages you post. By posting, you give us permission to display that content on the site as part of running the service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

Events and meeting listings

Anyone can post an event, and we don't independently verify event details. Some meeting listings (for example, AA, LifeRing, or SMART Recovery meetings) are imported on a schedule from publicly available sources rather than entered by a host — schedules and locations can change, so always confirm directly with the organizing group before attending.

Not medical or treatment advice

Sober Meetup Club is a way to find groups, events, and meetings — it is not a healthcare provider and nothing on this site is medical, psychological, or addiction-treatment advice. If you're in crisis or need professional support, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Sober Meetup Club is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We aren't responsible for the conduct of other members, the accuracy of user-posted or imported content, or anything that happens at an event or meeting you find through the site. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sober Meetup Club isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Termination

You can stop using Sober Meetup Club at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including through the same reporting/moderation process members can use against each other's content.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
